Are RGH/JTAGs worth it anymore?

Hey guys, lately through-out the feed I have noticed a-lot of topics based on JTAG/RGH support but my question is how come people still see use in using these? I mean in the past I have owned a few but do not think I would ever go back to the platform of 360.
